Nomad are a high-energy touring team focused on using a dynamic blend of cage football and relational youth work in order to engage with young people.

The Dutch style ‘panna’ football utilised by Nomad is a highly effective, versatile tool for sports ministry. The 2-metre high steel cage allows the team to connect with young people in a variety of settings whilst remaining relevant.

Cage football is different to normal 11-a-side or 5-a-side football; it requires a range of skills but their FA trained coaches will help your young people to develop, whatever standard they may be. Wherever the cage is set up it creates interest, curiosity and excitement. Young and old alike want to see what the cage is about.

Nomad primarily work in schools, although they also undertake missions with churches and in detached settings. In schools, Nomad deliver a range of cross-curricular lessons focusing on the values and lifestyle of Christianity. The team can lead PE, RE, PSHE or Citizenship based lessons and within these they will teach young people about values in sport and how they can apply to life. They can also lead assemblies with a range of activities including ‘keep em up’ competitions, spoken word poetry and real life stories.

The Great Commission’s all about inspiring a passion for evangelism in our communities, empowering each one of us, and our churches, to be talking about Jesus – showing God's love in words as well as deeds.
